The Timbre strings are the best we have made so far utilizing all of our knowledge and experience. It combines gut-like sound and response with the extra projection and stability that synthetic strings can deliver!

• The G string offers the greater range of overtones that we admire in Old Italian instruments. It gives you both depth and brilliance at the same time. This is why it is suitable for almost every violin
• The D string projects well and responds clearly at every dynamic. Hydronalium is not used in the outer winding which means that there isn't a problem with corrosion caused by perspiration. The set is well balanced and there is no drop in projection on the D string
• Two different A strings: The synthetic A gives improved tone and response. The metal version combines the best qualities of the Warchal metal A string line, namely the Russian A and Avantgarde. There is a short helix in the bowed area similar that found in Warchal helix E strings
• The E string utilizes Warchal's legendary helix invention that makes the tone warmer and prevents whistling. The tension is precisely balanced to provide both playability as well as projection
• String break-in time of about 12 minutes: We have done our best to give you a short string break-in time. After fitting Timbre strings we suggest that you play for 10 minutes using moderate dynamics. You may need to retune your strings several times during this time

Amber Violin Set

The Amber string set has been developed with the aim of achieving the sound quality of the best gut strings without any tuning instabilities. The set features W-Core®, a completely new core material developed by our Research & Development team.

The sound is rich and warm, but still has texture. The strings also feature a distinctive high quality silking design.

The Amber E string is based on our newest unique invention. Our solution increases the longitudinal elasticity of the string, which results in a significant sound improvement and no whistling.

Brilliant Violin Set

The Brilliant advanced synthetic core set is intended for players who seek the most projecting sound. It offers quick tuning stability, but usually requires three to four days to settle in before achieving full tonal quality. 

Two D strings are available. D - Hydronalium which provides a projecting sound with plenty of attack when needed. D - Silver which provides a warmer and mellower sound.

Brilliant Vintage Violin Set

Especially created for antique violins. Excellent response in all dynamic ranges, including pianissimo. These strings enable older instruments to shine with a natural beauty of sound. They have a brilliant, warm and focused sound despite their lower tension. The Brilliant Vintage set is not intended for baroque instruments with lower tuning.

Karneol Violin Set

The KARNEOL string set produces well-balanced velvety tones, giving warmth and texture to your sound. They have a synthetic core, and normally require three days to achieve tuning stability and optimum tone quality.

Ametyst Violin Set

High Quality synthetic core strings. Ametyst strings offer a pure and focused sound which is brighter than Karneol. Although they are intended for better instruments, they will improve the sound of all levels of violins. They have a synthetic core, and normally take approximately three days to achieve tuning stability and optimum tone quality.

Nefrit Violin Set

Combined metal and synthetic core set - metal core E and A strings, synthetic core D and G strings. Designed for musical instruments that require more intensive bow pressure. They are ideal for electric instruments too.

Avantgarde Violin A Violin Set

We've introduced a string that merges the Russian style formula with our unique helical design. The helix significantly improves the longitudinal elasticity of the metal solid wire core. As a result, the Avantgarde A has more warmth and depth of tone. It keeps its high quality sound even under full attack and has a remarkably fast response.

The wavy design continues along the whole length of the string, so for some players the feeling under the finger may require a few minutes to get used to.
